Go to London to look round Origin Craft Fair, but end up shopping in Brick Lane . . .

After looking around the crafts fair today (which tbh i was a little disappointed in the lack of textiles things being exhibited) I found myself wondering into Brick Lane and started shopping vintage! I haven't been vintage shopping in London before, but let me tell you its GREAT! Went to Rokit, and found an adorable 50's style little red hat, then an American Baseball jacket, which I have wanted for AGES (and sore a perfect one from Topshop for £59) which was only £10!!!! Shame it was excessively too big for me. I then wondered upon a little vintage shop near Brick Lane called Hurwundeki. This shop had a ground floor full of accessories & shoes etc, then downstairs was all the vintage treasures! Here's some photos . . .

This was a chiffon blouse, wish I had enough money on me, as it was gorgeous!

Ruth and Emily decided to customise these two skirts, into a baby doll dress.

Wait till you see the back . . .

This is so 1970's
I wish I'd have brought this cropped jacket, after trying it on here. And it was only £22.50, why didn't I?

The menswear section, which actually had some pretty cute jumpers in!

This jumper is great, I love the knitted pattern printed on, to give the illusion of texture.

The hats . . .

I need this flapper dress in my life, such a unique piece, and definitely going to become a bigger trend this A/W.

I love this satchel, cute!

Kitty in a leather tasseled jacket.

. . .

One of the sections in the Attic, full of vintage coats :)

Kitty again, wearing an aviator style jacket.

For me info about the shop go to www.hurwundeki.com/boutique2.htm

Fashion Forecast - Sports Lux 2011

Designers have been trying to perfect the happy medium between sports and fashion for years, and as this trend of sports lux is predicted to be big next A/W 2011 (by forecasting View 2 Magazine), I feel that we should all start preparing ourselves by just looking at the American styled street scene for our inspiration. In this photo, I just love how Vivi Cunha has styled the dramatic gold trainers and cute cropped jacket, with leather look leggings, and multiple necklaces, for a more fashionable look.

The feminine bow

This season, masculine tailoring is a big trend, however if you do not feel confident enough to go full out, or just want something a bit more feminine, try teaming together a sharp blouse, with a scarf tied around the collar, into a bow.

3D flowers is the new floral!

A newly emerging trend, predicted to be big this fall, is the 3D floral trend. Replace all your dull floral summer prints, for something with interesting texture to it, to really make a statement this season!

LBD

The little black dress. A timeless wordrobe stapel for any woman, especially since the colour black is romoured to be slimming! Try updating yours this season with knee-length socks, and killer patent black shoes!

Two hot A/W trends in one outfit!

This outfit is a great example of two A/W2010 trends, layering and masculine. The neutral and warm colours prevent the layers from clashing, tying them all together. When layering, it is important to wear only thin layers to avoid becoming bulky! The masculine tailoring of the trousers, and the classics brogues, make this outfit quite sharp and striking.

The very reason to ditch your car . . .

Cute outfit or what!?!

I just love this polka dot vintage blouse with the smart American Apparel trousers. The belt defines the waist, and by tucking in the top, this outfit is far more contemporary.
